Do some people have to give back their 2008 Stimulus Money?

My father-in-law is going to get his taxes done and the person that he’s going to said that he has to return the stimulus money he received last year. I’ve never heard of this. I know that many people who didn’t receive it last year or only got partial are getting the rest this year, but I never heard about returning the money. Has anyone heard of this? If so, where is it referenced (i.e., irs.gov)? Or is this tax person trying to scam them? Thanks in advance.

wE DONT HAVE TO GIVE IT BACK IF WE WERE ENTITLED TO IT. sOME MAY HAVE GOTTEN MORE THAN THEY SHOULD AND WOULd HAVE TO RETURN THAT.
